A Tyre Fitter for Kidlington's Commuters
Kidlington is a large village a few miles north of Oxford, and for many people who live here it's a base for getting into the city. Some drive down the Banbury Road every morning, some leave the car at Oxford Parkway or the Water Eaton park and ride, and others join the A34 or the A44 for jobs further afield. Add the school run and trips to the shops on the High Street, and the car rarely stays still for long.
So when a tyre goes flat, it's a nuisance whether it happens on the drive or in a station car park. Instead of arranging a tow or driving slowly to a garage, you can have a mobile fitter come to you with a replacement. We work 24/7 and aim to arrive within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on where you are and the traffic around Oxford.
From Phone Call to Fitted Tyre
- Get in touch. Call or message with your location, registration and, if possible, the tyre size from the sidewall.
- We find the closest available fitter. With more than 100 mobile fitters across England and Wales, there's usually one working near Oxford.
- The tyre is changed or repaired where the car is. The fitter balances the wheel and takes the old tyre away, both at no extra cost.
- Pay how you prefer. Card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden fees added at the end.
Mobile Services Across Kidlington
- Mobile tyre fitting: a new tyre fitted while you're at home or at work, with a choice of budget, mid-range and premium brands, all covered by the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Puncture repair: a slow puncture from a nail or screw can often be repaired, as long as it's within the central three quarters of the tread and smaller than 6 mm.
- Van tyres: for vans based around Langford Lane and the business areas near the airport, as well as sole traders working from home.
- Breakdown recovery: available if the car is stranded on the A34 or has damage that needs more than a tyre change.

Tip: Don't Ignore the Tyre Pressure Warning Light
Most cars built in the last decade have a tyre pressure monitoring system, and it's easy to see the amber warning light come on halfway down the Banbury Road on the way to work and assume it's a glitch, especially on a cold morning. Often it's a slow puncture: a tyre losing a little air every day, unnoticed until it's visibly low.
If the light comes on, check the pressures as soon as you safely can, using the figures in the handbook or on the door pillar. If one tyre is down, top it up and check again the next day. Losing air again points to a puncture or a leaking valve, and getting it repaired early means it's more likely to be fixable. Driving for long on an under-inflated tyre damages the sidewall, and then a repair is no longer an option. Remember that after topping up or changing a tyre, some systems need resetting, which your handbook will explain. If the light comes on and the car feels different to steer, or you can hear a flapping noise, pull over somewhere safe rather than pressing on.
