On the A459, Halfway Between Two Towns
Sedgley sits in the north of the Dudley borough, on the A459 that runs from Wolverhampton down to Dudley. Somewhere between a large village and a small town, it meets the A457 and A463 at the traffic island everyone still calls the Bull Ring. South of the centre, the A459 passes Woodsetton, Ruiton and Upper Gornal, so a lot of local driving happens on that one busy corridor.
If a tyre fails along it, or on a residential road off the high street, you don't need to struggle to the nearest garage. Ring us and a mobile fitter will come to the car with the tyre and kit to sort it there. We work all day and all night, every day, and aim to reach you within 60 minutes in most cases, depending on location and traffic.

Gornal, Woodsetton, Coseley and the Roads Between
We cover Sedgley centre and the surrounding villages that once made up the old manor: Upper Gornal, Ruiton, Gospel End, Woodsetton, Ettingshall and Coseley. Fitters work along the A459, A457 and A463, which all meet at the Bull Ring.
We also have pages for Bilston and Brierley Hill, as well as the larger towns of Dudley and Wolverhampton either side.
Because Sedgley sits between two bigger places, a fitter heading your way may be coming from either direction. Telling us which side of the Bull Ring you're on, or which village you're nearest, helps us send the right person and avoid sitting in traffic on the A459. If you're parked on a side road off the high street, the road name is usually enough. For a car that has stopped on the main road itself, a nearby house number or side turning is the most useful thing to give us.
One New Tyre or Two? Keep Each Axle Matched
When a single tyre is ruined, it's tempting to replace only that one. That's often fine if the others are fairly new, but if the tyre on the opposite side of the same axle is well worn, the car can feel unbalanced, pull slightly under braking and behave differently in the wet from one side to the other.
As a rule, tyres on the same axle should be the same size, construction and pattern, and ideally similar in tread depth. If the other tyre on the axle is much more worn, it's worth replacing both together. Where only two new tyres are being fitted, many manufacturers recommend putting them on the rear for better stability. Our fitter will look at all four when they arrive and tell you honestly whether a single replacement is enough, so you can decide before any work starts.
