Arnold's Mobile Tyre Fitters
Arnold is a town in the Borough of Gedling, on the northern edge of Nottingham. Its main artery is the A60 Mansfield Road, which runs down through Redhill and Daybrook towards the city, and at Redhill the A614 begins its long run north. Between them, those two roads carry most of the town's commuters, school traffic and shoppers.
If a tyre goes flat on the driveway, in a supermarket car park or on the A60 itself, you don't need to arrange a lift or a tow. Ring us and a fitter comes out with a replacement and everything needed to fit it. We work 24/7, and in most cases we aim to be with you inside 60 minutes, depending on where you are and the traffic at the time.
How a Call-Out in Arnold Works
There's nothing complicated about it. When you get in touch, we take your location and the details of the problem, then pass the job to the closest available fitter from our network of over 100 across England and Wales.
When they arrive, the fitter checks the damage. A small puncture in the central part of the tread can usually be repaired. A sidewall cut, a bulge or a hole that's too large means a new tyre, which is fitted there and then. Either way, you get:
- free wheel balancing on every fitting
- free disposal of the old tyre
- the manufacturer's guarantee on new tyres
- payment by card, cash or bank transfer, with no hidden fees

- Mobile tyre fitting for cars of all kinds, with a choice of budget, mid-range and premium tyres, done outside your home in Woodthorpe or at your workplace.
- Puncture repair where the damage is within safe limits, so you don't replace a tyre that still has plenty of life in it.
- Van tyre fitting for local trades and delivery drivers, helping keep the working day on track.
- Breakdown recovery if your car can't be fixed at the roadside or isn't safe to leave where it stopped.
Arnold, Gedling and the Northern Suburbs
We cover all of Arnold, including the town centre, Daybrook, Woodthorpe and Redhill, and the roads off Bestwood Lodge Drive. Our fitters also work along the A60 and the southern end of the A614, and across the wider Gedling area. Whether you're on a quiet cul-de-sac or pulled over near a busy junction, give us a landmark or a postcode and the fitter will come straight to the car.
Nearby, we reach Mapperley, Sherwood and the rest of the city, as well as Hucknall to the west and, further up the A60, Mansfield.
School-Run Tip: The 20p Tread Check
Short, stop-start trips to school and back wear tyres more than people expect, especially on the front wheels, where most of the braking and steering happens. The legal minimum tread depth for a car in the UK is 1.6 mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, but grip in the wet drops off well before that.
A quick way to check: push a 20p coin into the main grooves. If you can see the outer band of the coin, the tread is getting low and it's time to think about new tyres. Try it in a few places around each tyre, as wear isn't always even. While you're down there, look for nails, cuts or anything stuck in the tread. Catching a slow puncture on a Sunday evening is far better than finding a flat tyre when you're due at the school gate.
