Mobile Tyre Fitting for Windsor and Eton
Windsor gets more traffic than its size suggests. Visitors drive in for the castle and the river, residents commute out via the A332 and the relief road to junction 6 of the M4, and the A308 carries cars between Maidenhead, Old Windsor and Staines. The A332 also runs south through Windsor Great Park towards Ascot. Add the narrow streets around the town centre and Eton, and there are plenty of chances to pick up a puncture or catch a kerb.
When that happens, you can stay put. One of our mobile fitters will come to the car with a tyre and the equipment needed to fit it, at home, at work, in a car park or at the side of the road. We work 24/7 and in most cases aim to be with you within 60 minutes, depending on traffic, which in Windsor can vary a lot with the season and events in town.
What a Windsor Call-Out Involves
- Describe the problem and the location. A flat, a split, a slow leak or a warning light: tell us what you can, along with the size on the tyre wall.
- The nearest fitter sets off. We draw on a network of more than 100 experienced mobile fitters across England and Wales, so you get someone already in Berkshire or close to it.
- Repair or replacement, done there and then. New tyres are balanced free, the old one is disposed of free, and you get the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Pay how you like. Cash, card or bank transfer, with the price explained up front and no hidden fees.
If you're a visitor and don't know the area, don't worry about giving a perfect address. A road name, a nearby church or pub sign, or a pin dropped on WhatsApp is enough for the fitter to find you.
Tyre Services We Bring to Windsor
- Mobile tyre fitting: new tyres from budget to premium, including the run-flat and low-profile sizes common on newer cars, fitted wherever you are parked.
- Puncture repair: many punctures in the centre of the tread can be fixed safely, saving you a new tyre. If not, we replace it on the spot.
- Van tyres: for delivery drivers and trades who spend their days in and out of Windsor, Datchet and the villages, fitted at the van.
- Breakdown recovery: for a car stuck on the M4, the relief road or any spot where changing a wheel isn't safe, or when the wheel itself is damaged.
Covering Windsor and the Thames Valley Around It
Our fitters cover Windsor town centre, Clewer, Dedworth and Old Windsor, plus Eton, Eton Wick, Datchet and Englefield Green. We work along the M4 around junctions 5 and 6, the A308, and the A332 through the Great Park towards Ascot.
Close by, you'll find our pages for Slough, Maidenhead and Staines-upon-Thames.
Know Where Your Locking Wheel Nut Key Is
Many modern cars have one locking nut on each wheel, which can only be undone with a matching adaptor, usually called the locking wheel nut key. Without it, a wheel can't be removed in the normal way, and a quick tyre change becomes a much longer job.
The key is often in the glovebox, under the boot floor with the jack, or in a door pocket, but it is easy to lose when a car changes hands or after a service. Take a minute now to find it and put it somewhere you'll remember. When you call us, tell us whether you have it; if it's missing, let us know straight away so the fitter can plan for it. The same goes for visitors driving a hire or borrowed car: check before you set off on a day out.
